The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyi, gave details about the release of foreigners from the captivity of the Russian Federation.

He spoke about this in his address published on the night of September 22.

"Of course, we helped our friends - this is a matter of honor for Ukraine, a matter of our gratitude for helping our state.

We managed to free ten foreign citizens who were in Russian captivity," the president said.

According to him, the issue of releasing prisoners from other countries was previously discussed with the former British Prime Minister Boris Johnson and with "American friends".

"Now five citizens of Great Britain, two citizens of the USA, one citizen of Morocco and one citizen of Sweden, one citizen of Croatia will return home.

The enemy sentenced them to a long prison term or the death penalty.

We saved their lives," the Ukrainian leader emphasized.

President Zelensky noted that all of them will return home through the mediation of Saudi Arabia, and thanked everyone who contributed for their help.

We will remind, on Wednesday, September 21, 200 Ukrainian heroes were exchanged for Putin's godfather Viktor Medvedchuk, and the commanders of "Azovstal" - for 55 occupiers.
