Russian human rights defender and lawyer

Mark Feigin

believes that in this way the Kremlin is trying to prevent a possible attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He expressed this opinion in a comment to "UNIAN".

Feigin emphasized that after the successful counteroffensive of the Armed Forces in the Kharkiv region, "the situation took a completely different turn."

"I believe that the turning point in the war really happened, the final turning point, since it is no longer possible to stop the offensive of the Armed Forces. And understanding this forces the war party surrounded by Putin to force the situation, to hold "referendums" in order to try this last resort to stop the possible de-occupation of the territories." - says the human rights defender.

He believes that the occupied territories of Ukraine will be declared Russian in order to threaten the use of the security doctrine and the use of all means: "up to nuclear weapons and some other non-conventional weapons (chemical or other) to "protect" these territories."

Feigin calls this "Moscow's signal" for Ukraine and for the West, so that it "influences Kyiv and it goes to negotiations, to a truce, to some kind of agreement."

"The last attempt to demonstrate that Moscow is ready for a more decisive response and for more decisive actions," the human rights defender emphasized.

As reported, the Gauleiter of Kherson Oblast Kyrylo Stremousov said that

Snigurivka and Oleksandrivka of Mykolaiv Oblast have already been annexed to Kherson Oblast.
