Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov threatens the USA because of their assistance to Ukraine.

In Russia, they say that America can become a direct party to a full-scale war.

Lavrov said this in an interview with the American publication Newsweek.

Lavrov believes that the weapons that the USA and NATO provide to Ukraine are used, in particular, "to shell the territory of Russia bordering Ukraine, killing civilians there."

"The Pentagon does not hide the fact of the transfer of intelligence and targets for strikes to Kyiv. We record the presence of American mercenaries and advisers "on the battlefield". The United States, in fact, is teetering on the edge of becoming a side of the conflict," Lavrov said.

He also believes that "the USA and its allies are ready to sacrifice Ukraine for their geopolitical goals."

"To achieve them, they pump up the country with weapons, and this leads to escalation and a long conflict.

This postpones the prospects of its settlement," Lavrov said.
