As of 15:10 Moscow time, the Masbirzhi index fell below 2,200 points.

According to the newspaper "Kommersant", the leaders of the decrease were: global depository receipts of "Tinkoff Group" - by 9.68%, shares of NOVATEK - by 9.63%, Polymetal - by 9.82%, "Surgutneftegaz" - by 9.18% , LUKOIL - by 9.03%.

The collapse of shares is taking place against the background of reports of pseudo-referendums in the self-proclaimed "LPR" and "DPR" and other regions of Ukraine occupied by Russia, as well as the decision of the Russian State Duma to add the concepts of "mobilization" and "martial law" to the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

  • On September 20, the pro-Russian occupation administrations in eastern Ukraine and the Russian-controlled Kherson region announced the dates of referendums on joining Russia.

They planned them for September 23-27.

  • Also on Tuesday, the State Duma of Russia in an emergency manner adopted in the second and third reading laws that increase the severity of punishment for crimes during the period of mobilization and martial law and introduce new articles into the Criminal Code, including for voluntary surrender and refusal to fulfill a state order in defense spheres.
