The Greek authorities have announced that they are providing assistance to Ukrainian refugee women who have been subjected to various types of violence.

A special group of experts familiar with their problems began work.

The Ministry of Labor and Social Welfare announces that a telephone line has been activated to contact Ukrainian women who have received asylum in Greece and are affected by various types of violence.

Most of the refugees from the war in Ukraine are mothers with children, and respect for them is everyone's duty, the ministry reports.

Telephone help is provided by psychologists, lawyers and social workers who speak Russian and Ukrainian.

The information is also available on social networks.

Teachers who teach children from Ukraine and have noticed manifestations of xenophobia towards them can also be consulted on the same phone.

"We are ready to provide assistance to any woman who is at risk, regardless of her nationality," said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Welfare Maria Serengela, BNR reported.
