The holding of such "referendums" will mean nothing for Ukraine, but Russia will face increased sanctions.

The Minister of Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, Iryna Vereshchuk, said this on the telethon on September 20.

"I once again call on our citizens, who are now forced to stay in the temporarily occupied territories, not to participate in the referendums, to ignore them. Not to cooperate with the occupation authorities. We need to ignore this process and thereby help the army and ourselves," Vereshchuk emphasized.

We will remind, if the Russian occupiers hold "referendums" in the captured territories of Ukraine, then the state will have to vacate its lands and not recognize them as Russian.
