French households could face power cuts of up to 2 hours a day if the energy crisis deepens this winter.

This is the statement of the country's national electricity transmission operator.

A special online platform has been developed that will signal when the system is overloaded.

The "Ekovat" system will monitor energy consumption in real time.

It will be colored in different colors to monitor the state of the country.

If the system lights up in red, it means that it is possible to enter a two-hour current mode at a time when the current consumption is the highest.

In order to avoid this scenario, the calls to society are for people to save as much electricity as possible.

Macron has called for a sharp reduction in electricity consumption in France

About a month ago, the French Prime Minister also warned of possible power cuts during the winter months.

Users will also be warned about such a danger through the "Ekovat" system.
