Atababa Hajibabayev, the Honored cultural worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the responsible secretary of "Adabiyyat newspaper", a member of the editorial board of the publication, a valuable intellectual, died.

APA informs that it was informed by the Press Council.

The institution signed an obituary on the journalist's death.

The obituary reads:

"Honored cultural worker of the Republic of Azerbaijan, responsible secretary of "Adabiyyat newspaper", member of the editorial board of the publication, valuable intellectual Atababa Hajibabayev died.

We offer our deepest condolences to the relatives and loved ones of the deceased.

Hajibabayev, son of Atababa Ismayil, was born in Baku in 1947.

Graduated from the Faculty of Theater Studies of the Azerbaijan State Art University.

Since 1966, he has appeared in the press with artistic works, reviews, researches and other genre writings.

He devoted 35 years of his life to "Literary newspaper".

A. Hajibabayev was the author and editor of numerous books, educational programs, as well as the author of television and radio programs.

The journalist, who was chosen for his multi-faceted range of activities in the art of words, and won the deep sympathy of readers and artists with his hard work, was also recognized as a professional theater critic, humorist, pedagogue and translator.

A. Ismayiloglu was an example of endless loyalty to his profession, to which he devoted his whole life with his creative productivity and talent.

The services of the veteran writer in studying and conveying to the society the culture of Azerbaijan, theater art, and the life of outstanding artists, and in general making this field an integral part of the history of Azerbaijan, are unparalleled.

The death of A. Hajibabayev, who was respected for his care, simplicity, sincerity and humility, had a unique talent and a rich sense of creativity, is very difficult for everyone who knew him.

As the Azerbaijan Press Council, we once again offer our deepest condolences to the relatives, loved ones, friends and colleagues of the deceased, and share their pain and sorrow.
