Kilometer-long queues of cars formed on the Pomorie-Burgas road after the hurricane storm in the area.

People wait for hours in their cars while emergency crews clear the roadway of fallen trees and branches.

Due to the clearing of the road, traffic is allowed and stopped periodically.

After the strong storm, the worst situation is in Pomorie, where a state of emergency has been declared.

There will be no electricity in the city for at least 24 hours.

Due to the storm, a roof collapsed on tourists in an indoor pool of a hotel.

Two women were slightly injured.

A man was rescued after falling overboard from a yacht and a woman was lifted into the air by the wind before falling to the ground.

Fortunately, she was not injured.

There is a readiness to convene an emergency regional headquarters in case of deterioration of the situation and possible new storms.

A warning of the lowest level - yellow code for strong wind - is in effect for tomorrow in the area.

There are more than 100 reports of damage - mostly fallen trees, roofs, insulation and blocked streets, BNT reported.

"Over 130 emergency calls. More than 15 damages to cars, hundreds of uprooted trees, dozens of signs and billboards knocked down. The most important thing is that no one was injured. At the moment, municipal teams are cleaning and opening the streets," said Burgas Mayor Dimitar Nikolov.
