There has been an uproar over the Chandigarh University MMS scandal.

Hundreds of students are continuously agitating.

Here in the whole case, the police have arrested the accused girl and 1 other.

SIT has been formed on behalf of the police.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has assured that the matter will be investigated with utmost seriousness.

Also, strict action will be taken against the culprits.

On the other hand, Pro-Vice Chancellor of Chandigarh University RS Bawa said in an official statement that the reports of MMS videos being made of different girl students are completely fake and baseless.

The police have sent the phone of the accused girl and her friend for forensic examination.

Talking to NDTV, the agitating students have said that they will continue to agitate until their demand is accepted.

Students say that there are no security arrangements for the students here.

The students have alleged that the demand of the students is not being accepted by the university.

Along with this, the students have also said that the administration is trying to hide the fact that the girl students are trying to commit suicide.

Amidst the ongoing protests, the Punjab Police has arrested the accused girl, her boyfriend Sunny Mehta and 1 other.

According to the police, the accused girl had sent MMS to Sunny Mehta only.

A SIT has also been constituted on behalf of the Punjab Police under the leadership of a senior IPS officer. Acting on the request, the accused has been caught.

Let us inform that on Sunday, Mohali SSP Vivek Soni had told the media that a case has come to the fore that a girl living in the hostel has made a video.

After this a rumor spread that a video of other girls has also been made.

After which the students demonstrated.
