By resolution No. 616 of September 15, the Council of Ministers of Belarus changed the list of legal entities owned by investors from "unfriendly countries".

They are prohibited from doing anything with their assets in Belarus without the permission of the Belarusian authorities.

Four companies whose shares are owned by legal entities and individuals from Cyprus, Latvia and Poland have been added to the list:

  • TDA "Ego-Art" (chain of EGO-ART jewelry stores),

  • LLC "Belfood Production" (food products for children),

  • LLC "KimaBel" (lumber),

  • JSC "Zavod "Nodvig" (produces asynchronous single-phase and three-phase electric motors of medium power and other special purpose electric motors).

At the same time, ZTAA "LUKOIL Belarus", the share of which belongs to Austrian owners, was excluded from the list.

On July 5, a resolution of the Council of Ministers defined a list of 190 companies whose shareholders are foreign legal entities or natural persons "from foreign states that commit unfriendly actions in relation to Belarusian legal entities and (or) natural persons."

Since then, foreign individuals and legal entities from 23 countries who own (fully or partially) one of these companies cannot sell and withdraw their assets from Belarus.

The list of companies included, among others, Euroopt, Dana Astra, Lukoil Belarus, EPAM Systems, Mogilev Metallurgical Plant, Lidzkaye Piva, Minsk Watch Plant, Mazyrsol, Lidselmash, Belita, Mattioli, Remondis Minsk, Slutsk meat factory, Henkel Bautechnik, "Comunarka", "Spartak", Molodechny metallurgical plant and others.
