US President Joe Biden has told Russia that using tactical nuclear or chemical weapons in Ukraine would have catastrophic consequences.

APA reports that when a CBS journalist asked what he would say to Russian President Vladimir Putin about the use of unconventional weapons, Biden repeated:

“Don't do that, don't do that, don't do that.

It will change the face of warfare unlike anything since World War II."

The US president refused to specify how Washington would react in such a case.

“If I knew for sure, I would tell you... There will be consequences.

They will be more marginalized in the world than before, and depending on the scale of what they do, we will determine what the response will be," Biden said.

It should be recalled that in August, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu stated that the allegations regarding the possibility of using chemical weapons during a special operation in Ukraine are absurd.
