Turkey will pay for a quarter - 25 percent of the gas it imports from Russia in rubles.

According to APA's Moscow correspondent, Russian President Vladimir Putin said this during a meeting with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization summit in Samarkand.

Putin said that gas supplies to Turkey will be increased in all directions.

"Turkey has become one of the most reliable routes for the supply of our energy resources, including gas, not only for its own needs, but also to the countries of the European Union.

"Gas transportation to Europe is carried out continuously through Turkish Stream," the Russian President emphasized.
