The risk factors that endanger monuments in Shusha have been identified.

APA reports that this was reflected in the "Regulation on monitoring historical and cultural monuments located in the territory of Shusha city" approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.

According to the rule, the main natural risk factors that endanger monuments are the following:

- the effect of flooding of rivers, lakes and reservoirs;


- erosion (physical, chemical and biological);

- natural fires.


The main anthropogenic (human activity) risk factors that endanger monuments are the following:


- disruption of the geological environment as a result of engineering and agricultural works;


- destruction of vegetation;


- noise, vibration and other violations of the natural physical parameters of the environment;


- environmental pollution;


- fire.

The manifestation of the impact of risk factors is observed in the form of changes that have occurred or may occur in the structure of monuments (foundation, masonry, walls, ceilings, domes, roofs), decoration (wall paintings, other decorative elements, facades), components of the area where the monument is located.
