The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) did not meet Armenia's expectations.

APA reports that Armen Grigoryan, Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia, said this in his statement to "Azadlig" radio.

He said that when applying to the CSTO, Armenia's expectation was to obtain military and political assistance against Azerbaijan, but it was not fulfilled.

Armen Grigoryan added that when the CSTO sent troops to Kazakhstan, he had hopes that the mechanisms of the organization would finally work and a precedent would be set, but these hopes are no longer there.
