On the 5th of this month in Gorgaon, Mumbai, the driver of an ATM cash van along with his associates robbed Rs. 2 crore 80 lakh 50 thousand.

Police investigation revealed that the driver of the cash van, seeing the opportunity, first ran away with the cash van, then parked it at a place and fled with money from it.

Mumbai Police was shaken by this incident and immediately swung into action.

According to Virendra Mishra, Additional CP of North Region, 8 teams were formed to solve the incident and finally driver Uday Bhan Singh has been arrested from Vasai.

According to the police, the accused driver is a resident of UP.

Taking 2 crore 80 lakh and 50 thousand rupees from the cash van, leaving the van near Goregaon MTNL, he fled towards Nalasopara with the help of auto rickshaw.

The police has arrested Akash Yadav, the second accused who supported him in this theft, from Mumbai and Rishikesh Singh from Delhi.

Police have recovered Rs 2 crore 25 lakh 70 thousand 500 from the accused.

According to the police, 80 percent of the loot amount has been recovered and further investigation is going on.
