An international scientific-practical conference called "Economy of Culture in Azerbaijan: Development Impulses from Shusha" will be held on September 18-20 in the cities of Shusha and Baku under the joint organization of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Science and Education and the Institute of Economics.

APA was informed about this by the Ministry of Culture.

It was reported that the event, which will be held under the call of #think4culture within the framework of the "Year of Shusha", is dedicated to the development prospects of the cultural economy in our country.

At the international conference, the first part of which will be held in Shusha, and the second part of it will be held in Baku, experts in the field from about 15 countries, as well as local experts, will discuss current issues related to the cultural economy and present their proposals in this direction.

The main purpose of the event is to discuss issues such as profitability in the field of culture, increasing the share of creative industries in the country's economy, strengthening the export potential of creative industries, and promoting public interest in this field.

Foreign experts invited to the conference will share international experience on the subject and exchange views on global trends with local participants.

The international scientific-practical conference will also serve to promote the status of the city of Shusha as the cultural capital of Azerbaijan in the international world, to recognize the restoration and reconstruction works carried out by Azerbaijan in a short period of time in the territories freed from occupation, and will contribute to the development of cultural and creative industries in those territories.
