The organization for the early parliamentary elections on October 2 is proceeding normally.

This was said at the regular weekly briefing of the Central Election Commission by the Deputy Chairman and spokesperson of the CEC, Rositsa Mateva.

To date, it has been determined that there will be 11,845 sections in the country.

During this week, we decided that there will be 9369 voting machines in the elections, and in 1105 section machines there will be two machines, said Mateva.

The number of machines abroad has not changed and is 10,999. The registered candidates for people's representatives are 5,333, she added.

A total of 1,838 representatives of political formations will be sent abroad as members of the SIK

The components that make up the specialized devices for electronic machine voting were also presented at the briefing.

The machine works with two flash drives that are owned by the CEC.

The two flash drives are absolutely identical, and the machine cannot work with just one.

They are placed at the installation of the machine, the place is sealed with a seal and this seal is not opened until the end of the election day.

After the election day, the flash cards, on which the same information is copied, are sealed in two separate envelopes.

On one envelope is written "For the calculation station", and on the other - "For the Central Election Commission".

One flash drive is transported to the computing station, where the information is extracted from the device.

If for some reason the information cannot be retrieved, the second flash drive is opened.

Otherwise, the second one arrives at the CEC for verification unprinted, without any information extracted from it, explained Rositsa Mateva.

The seals are uniquely numbered, each machine seal number is recorded in the documents submitted to the Section Election Commission, so the process is traceable.

There are also additional seals, with different numbering, that are used if the paper needs to be replaced or there is a problem with the supply, she noted.
