Raidel Martínez scored his thirty-fourth game saved today in the 2022 Japanese Professional Baseball League (NPB).

On this day he allowed a no-run hit in a relay chapter and underpinned the 3x2 victory of the Chunichi Dragons over the DeNA Stars at the Vantelin Dome in Nagoya.

The right-hander from Pinar del Río, who alone resumed the second place in saves in the NPB Central League, reduced his ERA to 1.09.

His countryman and teammate Yariel Rodríguez gave up a single and struck out an opponent in a work inning to improve his ERA to 1.32.

Dayán Viciedo went 2-for-3 with a pair of singles and a walk to raise his average to .289, while Ariel Martínez faltered twice to lower his to .283.

In another game on the date, Alfredo Despaigne hit a two-run double in four plate appearances, scoring once, to lead the SoftBank Falcons to a 6-1 victory over the Seibu Lions at the Pay Pay Dome in Fukuoka. .

The Granma slugger, who has four RBIs in his last three games, kept his average at .261 and raised his RBI total to 33.
