Russian President Vladimir Putin visited Samarkand, Uzbekistan.

APA reports with reference to TASS that Vladimir Putin will participate in the summit of the heads of states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member countries, which will take place on September 15-16.

It should be noted that Vladimir Putin will personally attend the SCO summit for the first time in the last three years.

On September 15, Vladimir Putin is scheduled to meet with a number of foreign heads of state in a bilateral and multilateral format.

He will hold meetings with the leaders of Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Pakistan and China.

A tripartite Russia-Mongolia-China summit will also be held today.
