September 15 - On the eve of the Day of Knowledge, a social action was carried out for the residents of Agali village of Zangilan district, with the initiative of the Central Bank of the Republic of Azerbaijan, with the support of Kapital Bank and Mastercard.

At the event held in the new school building with the members of the first 48 families relocated to Agalı village, the participants were given detailed information about the innovations.

At the meeting, Farid Osmanov, Director General of the Central Bank, Fuad Badalov, Head of the East Zangezur Regional Education Department of the Ministry of Science and Education, Parviz Sadraddinov, Head of the Public Relations Department of Kapital Bank, Emil Zeynalov, Mastercard's representative for Azerbaijan, and an employee of the Special Delegation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan for Zangilan region, attended the meeting. Agil Gurbanov was present.

During the event, information was given on the formation of a cashless payment ecosystem, which is one of the most important components of the "smart village" concept, in Agalı village of Zangilan district.

Within the framework of the implemented measures, economic entities operating in Agalı village were provided with all the necessary means for accepting non-cash payments.

In order to create alternative payment options, payment terminals have been installed in the village of Agalı, and access to bank accounts and payment cards has been created 24/7.

At the same time, bank accounts were opened and payment cards were issued to those who applied for payment cards.

In addition, with the support of Kapital Bank and Mastercard, a special cashback campaign for cashless payments has been launched at businesses, as a result of which Mastercard owners who make cashless payments at facilities in Agalı village will receive 10% cashback.

Within the framework of the project, students of Agalı village secondary school were given a "Smart education card" and tablets were presented to students in 48 families so that they could use more modern methods during the school year.
