Recently, the US Parliament approved a financial assistance of

$ 450 million

to Pakistan for the maintenance of F-16 aircraft .

It was said that with this Islamabad would keep its F-16 fleet effective against current and future threats of terrorism.

Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh made a tweet expressing concern over this.

It was said in this tweet that I have conveyed India's concerns to the US on the financial package for Pakistan's F-16 fleet.

I look forward to continuing talks with Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin on the India-US partnership.

In another tweet, he said that we discussed ways to keep India-US partnership in the technical and industrial sector strong and also explored opportunities for cooperation in the field of strategic technology.  

We also discussed ways to strengthen technological and industrial collaboration and also explore cooperation in emerging and critical technologies.

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said in the first of the three tweets that he had a warm, fruitful phone conversation with US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin.

He said the two leaders discussed integration of strategic interests and growing defense and security cooperation.   

Had a warm and productive telephonic conversation with the US Secretary of Defense, Mr.

Lloyd Austin.

We discussed growing convergence of strategic interests and enhanced defense & security cooperation.

After this conversation, according to the statements that have come from America on this, the equipment is being given to Pakistan for the old F-16s that Pakistan has.

This is being done under a lifetime contract.
