"If the official cabinet does not sabotage its own country, there will be no electricity regime and there will be gas. These are fears that someone deliberately instills and obviously, looking for some foreign policy dividends", said Martin Dimitrov

Martin Dimitrov is a Bulgarian politician, chairman of the SDS since December 2008, co-chairman of the PG of "Democratic Bulgaria

"Democratic Bulgaria" is a center-right political association composed of" in the studio of "Day ON AIR".

He said that they wanted Rosen Hristov's resignation from DB because they warned him that there should be no talks with Moscow and Gazprom because it is a dead end.

"Today is a good day to put an end to these negotiations and for them to understand that the months of September and October are key and in them we must negotiate alternatives," he told Bulgaria ON AIR.

According to Dimitrov, it makes no sense to wait for them all of September, it would be a pitiful, weak and unargued act.

The former head of KEVR: I am still curious to hear what the cabinet's strategy is for gas

"Until now, the official cabinet simply did not see the slots because it was focused on Moscow. There are slots in Greece and Turkey. In order for the price to be favorable, talks had to be held at the highest political level with Greece and Turkey, and the issue would be resolved. The official cabinet purposefully did not resolve it, because it believed very much that it would find another solution, and it turned out that it missed the tame and is now chasing the wild," Dimitrov believes.

He specified that the first thing we should do is to let Azeri gas flow through the interconnector on October 1, because it is the cheapest gas.

The second, according to him, is additional quantities from Azerbaijan, and such talks have been held, he is categorical.

"The world is in a difficult situation at the moment, so they should not have released the 7 tankers or 6 of them. They are the result of the negotiations between the EC and the US. Now they should try to buy another liquefied gas and announce an international tender." is the opinion of the guest.

Dimitrov pointed out that the gas storages in Europe are filled to a high degree, ours is at 67% - quite low for the crisis.

He specified that Bulgaria is a small consumer of gas and quantities can be found, and in this international auction we should make an attempt to buy quantities through the neighbors as well.

"With Azerbaijan, the problem is that the export of electricity is difficult to solve. I would suggest that they do it with Romania, because it produces electricity from gas, and we could barter, get gas for electricity, and this is part of the European a policy of 15 percent savings in gas consumption," he suggests.

According to him, the thesis of the BSP, that the export of electricity should be stopped, cannot be realized, because Bulgaria has signed and is part of the EU and has a single market, which we cannot give up.

"For the future of Bulgaria, I see 2 main options. One is to remain the official cabinet for the whole winter, but this is a bad option. The good one is to have a cabinet between DB and "We continue the change", which depends on the election results," Dimitrov concluded.
