The Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama, reacted today to the opposition's criticism of the case of the cyber attack in Albania by Iran.

In a post on Twitter, Rama said that "the pleasure that gives rise to so many fabrications, lies and accusations related to cyber attacks" speaks of malice towards Albania and Albanians.

"The pleasure that breeds so many fabrications, delusions and accusations about cyber attacks by an aggressor state, in addition to deep ignorance of the field and great laziness to information, speaks of a disgusting evil in relation to the country and the people of this country !", wrote Rama.

Earlier, the Democratic Party reacted after Iran's cyber attacks towards our country, calling it a "real aggression against the country's digital infrastructure, seriously threatening the country's sovereignty, national security, and creating great chaos in services and the movement of citizens".

"With these attacks, Iran has violated international laws and conventions as a rogue state.

DP condemns with the greatest strength these bandit acts of the theocratic Iranian regime and gratefully thanks the condemnation of these attacks by the USA, NATO and the EU", said the spokeswoman of DP, Floriana Garo

DP also appreciates their support for Albania.

"Analyzing these attacks which destroyed the country's digital infrastructure as if it were made of paper, PD adds that the destruction of this infrastructure with such ease is also rooted in two other major factors, namely: First, the hacking of the system for electoral purposes by the government itself providing 1 million patrons with the personal data of citizens deposited in e-Albania in violation of the country's constitution and laws.

After these, the hacking with serious consequences of employee salaries, car license plates, all this precedes the hacking and defacto annihilation of Edi Rama's digital 'state'", added Garo.

She added that after the construction of the digital infrastructure by the Berisha government, the cyber protection unit of the system was established, consisting of selected and qualified experts in this field in the USA.

"The system's servers were placed in the most secure locations within the country.

When Edi Rama came to power, the first act he did was to dissolve the cyber security unit, considering it as a digital espionage unit.

Secondly, with dubious tenders, the system's servers were transferred abroad," said Garo.
