A mysterious letter from Queen Elizabeth II 

is

kept in a locker in

Sydney  , Australia.

The most interesting thing about this letter is that it cannot be opened for the next 63 years!

According to Australia's 7NEWS, this letter is kept in a historic building in Sydney and was written by Queen Elizabeth in 1986.

It has been written addressing the people of Sydney.

7NEWS Australia reports that no one other than the Queen knows what is written in the letter.

Even his personal staff is not aware of this.

This letter is hidden in a glass box in a safe place.

One thing is clear though, that it cannot be opened until 2085.   

The letter, addressed to the Lord Mayor of Sydney, clearly states, "On some opportune day in the year 2085, will you open this envelope and deliver my message to the citizens of Sydney?"

The envelope bears the signature "Elizabeth R.." 

As head of state, Queen Elizabeth II visited Australia 16 times.

"From his first popular visit to Australia, it was clear that he had a special place in his heart for Australia," Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said in a release on Friday. 

Albanese further wrote, "Before his next 15 visits, the large number of people who welcomed him in every corner of the country also told that he too has a special place in our hearts."  

According to CNN, "In 1999 there was a referendum in Australia on whether to remove the Queen from the position of head of state, but this proposal fell through." 


On Friday, Sydney's Opera House was lit up in memory of the Queen.

Australia accepted King Charles III as the first new ruler in 70 years.
