The preparation for the vote abroad on October 2 is feverish.

The overseas sections will be 755 and 290 will be machine-voted.

"The necessary preparations have been made so that the elections will be held lawfully and in a peaceful order and atmosphere. On Saturday we accepted the election papers, after an hour we will also accept the ballots. The materials in the following days should reach all 755 sections. With the most sections are: Turkey - 166, the United Kingdom - 126, Germany - 77, Spain - 65, the USA - 55", Kalin Anastasov - deputy chairman of the "Elections" working group at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs - said in "Bulgaria Morning".

We are still waiting for permission to hold elections in Germany, Canada and Norway, as the administrative procedure there has not yet been completed.

In these countries, there is traditionally more detailed specificity.

"In the last elections, we saw an increased interest in voting from our community in the Czech Republic. The Czech state did not agree to these elections. For this reason, our ambassador in Prague appealed to the CEC, and a third additional section for Bulgarians will be opened in our embassy there citizens," Anastasov also told Bulgaria ON AIR.

In 235 places abroad, voting will be done with two machines, and in 55 - with one.

A request for 14 more machines in 3 countries is pending.

Important election news

"The reasonable period in which we can prepare and send the machines is about 10 days before the elections start. We expect the CEC to provide us with the machines at the beginning of next week at the latest. We hope to successfully complete the campaign to send the machines. We have taken the responsibility on himself regarding the transportation of the machines," said Anastasov.

According to him, the electoral lists are already ready, and they include 49,568 Bulgarian citizens who will have the right to vote without the need to provide additional declarations.

Voting with expired documents will not be allowed.

"The fact that you have submitted an application does not mean that you cannot vote in another place. Or if for one reason or another you are not abroad, but in Bulgaria, you will also be able to vote here. With about 5 thousand more people few submitted applications compared to last year," concluded Kalin Anastasov.
