The two-time Olympic champion Arlen López celebrated for the second time in professional boxing and

raised the number of consecutive successes of Domadores de Cuba to 13 in commitments of this type.

Arlen did his homework in the Mexican city of Tijuana, as executioner of the local Francisco Ríos, whom he dispatched by technical knockout in the first of the eight rounds agreed for that fight, in the 175-pound division.

The outcome was added to the one enjoyed by the Antillean in May, when he surpassed the also Mexican Fernando Galván by the same route, and it is the tenth prior to the limit coined by the Island franchise.

Ríos had on his side the experience of 26 fights of this type (13 wins, 10 setbacks and 3 draws), but

Arlen imposed the pace to the same extent that he was superior and resolved after 2:58 minutes of the initial bell.

Supported by the well-known solidity of his striking, he combined effectively until causing his opponent to kneel on the blackboard and the referee decreed the end of the actions after telling him of protection.

The next outing for members of that Cuban squad will be

the third for also double Olympic champion Roniel Iglesias (147 pounds), called to fight on September 30 in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco.
