The SBASHK, on ​​Sunday, held an extraordinary meeting with the presidents of the Municipal Union Assemblies of Pre-university Education and Universities, to debate the meeting of the president of the BSPK Atdhe Hykolli last night with Prime Minister Albin Kurti.

In the press release it is stated that the head of the BSPK has informed the participants of this meeting about the discussions in the meeting with the Prime Minister.

The presidents of the union municipal level and the universities have congratulated the president Hykolli for the efforts to create the conditions for dialogue between the Government and the Strike Council of the BSPK, wishing that this dialogue will take place in order to debate all issues and reach an agreement acceptable.

The unanimous opinion of the participants of this meeting was that until the Government does not sit down in dialogue with the Strike Council of the BSPK and does not realize the legitimate demands of the strikers, the strike will continue.

Meanwhile, the Council of Parents of Kosovo has warned the undertaking of some actions that could help students while the strike in education continues.

The Parents' Council has said that due to the created situation, many students have started to deregister from public schools.

"This situation, repeated for the seventh time, at the most difficult moment of education in Kosovo, is completely unacceptable and unreasonable, which is also evidenced by the daily de-registration of students from public schools", it is stated in their announcement.

As an alternative to the ongoing strike, the Parents' Council has given 5 recommendations.

1) Demand the supply of books to all children through parents from all schools in Kosovo as early as tomorrow (September 12).

2) Parents start regular daily meetings in school premises or wherever possible, with the sole purpose of taking action to help their children.

3) Parents start working with their children through online digital platforms offered by MEST, YouTube, eSchool and others.

4) Parents should coordinate and cooperate with teachers who want to develop distance learning through online platforms in order to realize the learning process as best as possible.

5) In schools where it is possible, in the following days, parents should take their children for an hour to meet their classmates.

"We also ask all volunteers who have the capacity to help distance learning to contact the Parents' Council of Kosovo or the parents' councils in the municipalities or schools", it is said, among other things, in the announcement of the Parents' Council.

Otherwise, the Minister of Education Arbërie Nagavci has today again called for the termination of the strike that started in education on August 25.
