Light to moderate rains lashed parts of the national capital on Saturday with the maximum temperature settling at 36.8 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.

India Meteorological Department (IMD) gave this information.

According to the IMD, there is a possibility of light rain in Delhi in the next five days. 

The minimum temperature in the national capital was recorded at 27.6 degrees Celsius, two notches above normal, the IMD said.

Light rain was recorded in all areas including Mukherjee Nagar, GTB Nagar, Vijay Nagar, Civil Lines, Dilshad Garden, Seemapuri and Kashmere Gate.

According to data from the 'System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting and Research' (SAFAR), the air quality index (AQI) of Delhi was recorded at 107, which falls in the 'moderate' category, at around 6.30 pm.

AQI between zero and 50 is 'good', 51 to 100 'satisfactory', 101 to 200 'moderate', 201 to 300 'poor', 301 to 400 'very poor' and An AQI between 401 and 500 is considered 'severe'.
