The data so far show that over 8,500 motor vehicles have been checked throughout the country in the last 24 hours, the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.

8,839 motor vehicles were checked as part of the ordered specialist police operation to comply with the Road Traffic Act.

Control of 11,297 drivers and passengers was carried out.

3194 slips and 739 acts for established administrative violations were drawn up.

In the last 24 hours - 22 drunk and 19 drugged drivers were caught

Emphasis in the action is the prohibition of driving by drivers who have consumed alcohol, narcotic substances and/or their analogues, as well as driving of motor vehicles by unlicensed drivers.

Within the past day, a total of 19 drivers were found to have gotten behind the wheel after consuming alcohol - 11 of them were driving after consuming alcohol from 0.5 to 1.2 per thousand, 8 - with more than 1.2 per 1000, and one refused to be tested.

12 people were caught driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues, and 5, stopped for inspection, refused to be tested.

From the summary data: a total of 2,142 motor vehicles and 2,488 drivers and passengers were checked using the "linear control" method;

653 slips and 180 AUAN were drawn up for established violations.

Three drivers were found to have driven after consuming alcohol up to 1.2 per thousand, and two others – with more than 1.2 per thousand.

One was caught driving under the influence of narcotic substances or their analogues.
