During a specialized police operation to identify and detain persons who illegally acquire wood, committed crimes declared as ODI, unlicensed drivers of motor vehicles in the territory of the village of Sindel, by employees of ODMVR - Varna with their colleagues from RDG - Varna, two pre-trial proceedings.

Law enforcement officials checked 148 people and 102 vehicles, and found 31 men with criminal convictions.

During the inspection, the uniformed officers drew up 9 acts and 12 slips under the Personal Data Protection Act and 1 act under the Bulgarian Personal Documents Act.

The inspection continued together with representatives of State Forestry - Varna and 5 protocols were drawn up for detected violations and 9 acts were issued for transporting wood without a transport document and missing markings on the wood.

During the operation, a cart driver who spotted the law enforcement officers attempted to flee into the woods with his vehicle, but officers quickly stopped the 22-year-old local resident and detained him for questioning.

Through it, it was found that he was illegally transporting timber - meter logs.

In the case, pre-trial proceedings were initiated under Article 235, Paragraph 2 of the Criminal Code, and the cart was seized by the forestry officials.

A 43-year-old fellow citizen was caught by the police teams driving a scrapped motor vehicle, on which the registration plates of another car were placed.

In this case, pre-trial proceedings were initiated under Art. 345, Para. 1 of the Criminal Code.
