The Chairman of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Memli Krasniqi, was received today in a meeting by the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Dimitar Kovacevski, with whom they discussed the current political and economic developments in the region and Europe.

The leader of the opposition in Kosovo said that he wished Prime Minister Kovacevski on the 31st anniversary of the Independence of North Macedonia and the opening of negotiations for membership in the European Union, while he thanked him for the continuous help that North Macedonia has given to the Republic of Kosovo.

"During the meeting, I reiterated that the opening of negotiations for North Macedonia is good news for Kosovo as well, with the hope that the restored trust between the EU and our region will advance as quickly as possible with the liberalization of visas for our citizens - and that's right, denied for years", the head of the PDK wrote on his Facebook page.



Meanwhile, Prime Minister Kovačevski informed the head of the PDK, Memli Krasniqi, about the steps taken by North Macedonia to face the global economic crisis, which in Kosovo is manifesting itself with record inflation, an increase in the price of energy and the deterioration of the lives of citizens. ours.

"Together we discussed infrastructure projects, political cooperation and integration processes.

"Kosovo and North Macedonia must continue cultivating excellent neighborly cooperation and mutual trust, on the irreversible path of Euro-Atlantic integration," said Krasniqi.
