The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted a parliamentary delegation from Lithuania, led by the president of the Friendship Group, Laima Andrikiene.

In this meeting, the Government announces that Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi spoke about the Government's priorities in the European integration agenda, "where after applying for membership in the Council of Europe, we intend to apply for membership in the EU within this year".

"Another important issue was the subject of visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo, where the need for the completion of this long process for the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo was emphasized," the press release states.

"Kosovo is a small country, a new democracy, with great potential.

The progress through the highest ever note of the implementation of reforms and measures on the European agenda, such as in justice reforms, in the fight against corruption, in the formalization of the economy, in digitalization, in attracting strategic investors and many other areas, has been reflected and in the historical improvement of Kosovo's positioning in the world rankings".

Further, it is said that Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the parliamentary delegation for the visit and their continuous support to Kosovo.
