The order of heirs in Britain's royal family has changed after the death of the Queen

Queen Elizabeth was the longest-serving monarch in British history.

The 96-year-old Queen died in a rest palace in the mountains of Scotland.

Charles, the eldest of the Queen's four children, has become Prince of Wales.

At the age of 73, he was the oldest heir to the throne in British history.

But after the death of the queen, he was immediately declared the king.

Royal officials have confirmed that he will now be known as King Charles III.

He would be the first king to sit on the throne with this name since 1685.

Will Camilla become queen?

The king's wife is usually called the Queen, but in Camilla's case, she will not be given the title of Queen.

At the time of her marriage with Charles in 2005, there was an agreement that she would be known as Princess Consort, not Queen.

However, the Queen recently announced that she expected Camilla to be known as Queen Consort while Charles would become King.

Thus he resolved the long-running debate over Camilla's title.

Now who will be the contenders for the successor post?

Prince William is most likely to become the Prince of Wales or the Duke of Cornwall.

His wife will become the Princess of Wales.

Prior to the death of the Queen, Prince William currently held the title of Duke of Cambridge.

The title of Prince of Wales is held by the heir to the throne, which until now was held by Prince Charles.

Charles has now become king.

Next in line are Prince William and Kate Middleton's children Prince George (9) and then Princess Charlotte (7) and Prince Louis (4).

But where is Prince Harry in this queue?

Prince Harry is at number five in the line of succession to the throne.

He had decided to step back from the royal stage and royal duties and moved to America with his wife Meghan Markle.

Prince Harry and Meghan have two children.

According to the news of The Guardian,
