The Armed Forces of Ukraine liberated more than 20 settlements from Russian forces in Kharkiv region.


APA reports with reference to "Ukrinform" that the Deputy Chief of the General Operations Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksiy Gromov, said this during a briefing.


"Since the beginning of this week, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have been carrying out active operations in certain directions together with units of the National Guard and other security forces. During active operations in the direction of Kharkiv, more than 20 residential areas were liberated. In the direction of Kramatorsk, units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine improved their tactical positions two kilometers "During the offensive operations in the direction of Slavyansk, units of the 103rd Separate Territorial Defense Brigade together with units of the 15th regiment of the National Guard of Ukraine advanced up to three kilometers and liberated the village of Ozernoe," Gromov said.


According to him, the defense forces continue active operations in the direction of Kherson, fighting to improve positions along the front line.

It is reported that the Russian forces in the region continue to resist despite being discouraged.


"In general, in separate directions, our units advanced to the enemy's defenses from two kilometers to several tens of kilometers deep. A number of settlements were liberated. The total area of ​​the territory returned to the control of Ukraine in the direction of Kharkiv and South-Buz is more than 700 sq.km," Gromov said. said.
