A video of Russian President Vladimir Putin meeting with government officials shows the head of state appearing to fall asleep during the event.

This appears to have become contagious, as signs of sleepiness appeared in others present, the Daily Mail reported.

During a state council meeting in Vladivostok, Far East, both Putin and some of his advisers had trouble keeping their eyes open.

The sleepy look of the Russian president was captured at a time when there are rumors that he complained to doctors of fatigue and shortness of breath during his trip to the eastern part of Russia, where he visited the Vostok military maneuvers, bg-voice reported .

Putin's difficulty staying awake has sparked new speculation about his health.
