About a week ago, the caretaker finance minister said that we should not forget the hard lessons learned from the past and frivolously squander the country's hard-won financial stability.

I totally agree with those words, but apparently the lessons learned are not really learned.

This was stated by the co-chairman of "We continue the change

Kiril Petkov and Asen Vassilev presented their political project "We continue the change"" Asen Vassilev

Asen Vassilev was the Minister of Economy, Energy and Tourism from March 12 to May 29, 2013. By decree, reported a Novini.bg reporter.

We have received a report by the Ministry of Finance, prepared by the Prime Minister, which is disturbing to say the least.

In this report, as one of the measures, it is said: "consolidation should be sought by reducing expenses, including the cancellation of already launched policies or the reduction and cancellation of tax benefits".

Translated into Bulgarian, this means stopping the increase in pensions, canceling part of the tax breaks, maybe zero VAT on bread or tax breaks for young families, maybe kindergartens stop being free, and generally cancel the whole social program and the first steps that were taken for Bulgaria to have a normal European social budget and not a "lean pizza".

Asen Vassilev: We will continue to raise incomes

The lessons of the last 12 years are very clear.

The lean pizzas, the poverty budgets that GERB made, led to this stability.

And complete ruin.

The budgets were made under the wrong macro-framework, so that at the end of the year there would be a budget surplus, which would be distributed to "our" companies by decree of the Council of Ministers.

1 billion for those, 500 million for those, 100 million for the others... And all of this ends up in sacks, lockers and bars.

The budgets that we made - the two updates and the main budget this year, showed that social policy can be made in Bulgaria, Vasilev pointed out.

Pensions can be raised for 1 year more than for the last 12 years.

The old pensions from October 1 to make up for what was stolen from these pensioners for 12 years.

To have free kindergartens, decently paid teachers, an increase in salaries in health care, in the Ministry of the Interior, in defense, so that the state for the first time starts investing in the personnel who provide the backbone of our society.

At the same time, to have a really big infrastructure program, the biggest in the last 12 years.

And all this should be done within the framework of the allowed deficit in Europe.

This is the policy that we will lead and will continue to lead.

This is the policy that will allow Bulgaria to become a normal European country.

This is the policy that will increase wages, raise the minimum wage,

so that it is at least 50% of the average salary.

This policy would allow pensions to double in the next 4 years and make all the infrastructure investments we need without financial stability being a problem.

But this policy also means that there will be no theft.

There will be no decrees of the Council of Ministers at the last moment, with which some money will go to some companies.

And maybe that's why GERB doesn't like this policy.

On October 2, we have to decide if we want this new European policy or if we want the GERB policy with bars, bars and stable poverty, said the co-chairman of "We continue the change

without having a problem with financial stability.
