The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, said that he spoke today with the President of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, on all important issues - on the development of cooperation, on the situation in Ukraine, on energy, reports RTS.

At a joint press conference with Erdogan, Vucic pointed out that Serbia is interested in buying Turkish Bayraktar drones and hopes to be able to do so in 2023, BTA adds.

The Serbian president asked Erdogan for help in supplying Serbia with electricity during the winter, so that Azerbaijani electricity through Bulgaria can be transported to Serbia in order to provide electricity quantities that are not reaching Serbia. 

Erdogan assessed that the relations between Turkey and Serbia are at an excellent level and indicated that Turkey is ready to support the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina in every possible way in order to reach a solution.

Erdogan is on a two-day visit to Serbia

Speaking about the situation in Ukraine, Erdogan said that Turkey has always followed a policy of balance between Russia and Ukraine and will continue to do so in the coming period. 

The Serbian president pointed out that relations between Serbia and Turkey are at their highest level in the modern history of both countries, trade exchange has reached almost 2.5 billion euros, and Turkish companies employ almost 10,000 people in Serbia.
