The grain exported from Ukraine goes not to the starving countries, but to the countries of the European Union.

APA's Moscow correspondent reports that this was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin at the plenary meeting of the Vladivostok Economic Forum.

"Only two ships of grain went to developing countries," the Russian President stressed.

Putin also said that the transportation of grain from Ukraine can be limited for this reason: "Perhaps we should think about limiting the export of grain and other food products through this route (from Ukraine to Europe - ed.).

I will certainly consult with Turkish President Erdogan on this matter.

After all, we are the ones who developed the mechanism of grain export from Ukraine."
