The Minister of Justice, Albulena Haxhiu, has commented on the departure of MP Doarsa Kica-Xjelili from the Parliamentary Group of the Vetëvendosje Movement and Guxo Party, as she considered such an action as a betrayal of the citizens.

Haxhiu said that today during the day he did not have the opportunity to receive official information about this move from MP Kica-Xjelili, but he says that "he was notified by the media" about such a thing.

"I have always said that the transition in this way, especially after a great popular support that we have had with the program that we have competed.

I think that the blow is given to the citizens, because this kind of trust that the citizens have given him is considered worthless for them.

So it didn't matter that there was a lot of public support," said Haxhiu.

"In 2021 we had great support from the citizens of Kosovo, I think such actions are a betrayal of the citizens.

That is why I think that these actions are not appreciated by the citizens.

So what the citizens can do is that in the next elections they will punish.

This is what our not-too-distant history has shown," she added to ATV.

However, Haxhiu says that even if Doarsa Kica-Xjelili moves to the LDK, the latter has declared that it will support the vetting, a process for which deputy Kica-Xjelili had publicly expressed reservations.

When asked about the movement of MP Adelina Grainca from PDK to LDK, Haxhiu says that the situation with Kica-Xhelili changes./
