Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday targeted the central government and the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying that hatred has spread in the name of caste and religion in the country and if this situation is not handled, the country can go towards civil war.

He also told reporters before the start of Congress's 'Bharat Jodo' Yatra that he wants Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to have good senses and understand the situation.

Senior Congress leader Gehlot also said that everyone in the party has the same feeling that Rahul Gandhi should take over the reins of the party from once.

He said that with Rahul Gandhi becoming the president, the Congress will be strengthened and everyone will work together and it will also be easier to deal with the challenges that the country is facing.

Gehlot said, 'We have been requesting the Prime Minister to appeal that there should be love, brotherhood and harmony and violence will not be tolerated.

But he didn't do that.

He also had to say, 'There has been a lot of polarization.

Violence has spread in the name of caste and religion.

If this situation is not handled then it can go towards civil war.

He said that Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Shah, who are 'running the country' at this time, should understand the message of Rahul Gandhi's visit.


Gehlot said that Rahul Gandhi is a Gandhian person and there is absolutely no hatred and anger in his heart.
