In the Nazirabad police station area of ​​Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, two youths returning home from work were washed away in the overflowing drain on Thursday evening.

Seeing this sight, a woman living nearby took off the child from her lap and jumped into the drain herself and saved a young man by playing on his life.

She tried to save the other youth as well, but could not save him.

The body of another youth was recovered on Friday morning.

The police have handed over the body to the family members after establishing a road and getting the dead body PM. 

For saving the life of the young man, the police rewarded the woman with a cash award.

Police station in-charge BP Singh told that Raju Ahirwar (25) lived in village Kadhaiyakala and used to do farming.

On Thursday, he along with his partner Jitendra Ahirwar had reached the farm located in village Khajuria to spray insecticide.

After working all day, both were returning home at around six in the evening.

In the afternoon, there was heavy rain in the area, due to which the drain situated between Kadhaiyakala and Khajuria came in spate. 

When both the youths started crossing the drain, other comrades of the village present on the other side forbade them to do so.

Tying the bike key in a shirt, he threw it on the other side saying that he would return home after taking the bike to Nazirabad.

However, the key and shirt fell into the drain and got washed away.

On this, friends told Raju and Jitendra that they are reaching through another route, till then stay on the shore.

However, not listening to the friends, Raju and Jitendra started crossing the drain.

They had progressed only a few minutes, then they got swept away in the strong current. 

During which both the youths were trying to cross the drain and talking to friends, during that time Rabina, who lives in Kanjar Tapre, was watching the whole scene.

Rabina had a 10-month-old baby in her lap.

He also forbade both of them to cross the drain.

As soon as Rabina saw both of them flowing in the water, she made the child sit on the ground and jumped herself into the drain.

During this, she grabbed Jitendra and dragged him out, but could not get Raju out. 

Raju's brother Suresh Ahirwar informed the Nazirabad police about the incident.

The police, who reached the spot, searched for some time in the drain, but when nothing was found, the action was stopped.

The search was started again on Friday morning with the help of Home Guard personnel and divers.

Raju's body was found in the drain at about ten o'clock in the morning, about fifteen feet deep.
