Kosovo police have announced that they have arrested a person, who today went to his ex-wife's house and after demolishing the furniture, took the 21-year-old, his ex-wife, by force.

The communique states that the Police station in Ferizaj, on 02.09.2022 at around 21:40, received information that in the village of Nerodime e Eperme in Ferizaj there is a case, initially described as "Extortion, assault and property damage".

"The 42-year-old complainant NA reported to the police that the 27-year-old VN person, her former son-in-law, had gone to her house, first damaged and demolished the furniture of the house, and then forcibly took the daughter of the complainant MA and at the age of 21, his ex-wife and had continued in an unknown direction", it is stated in the communique, Telegrafon transmits.

"Regarding this, the police and the investigators of the station in Ferizaj have taken the necessary actions, they have gone to the scene of the incident and the Regional Investigation Sector has been involved in the case, who, under the authorization of the Prosecutor from the Basic Prosecutor's Office in Ferizaj, have investigations started".

Further in the announcement it is stated that the coordinated units of the Regional Police of Ferizaj, after intensive investigative work, today around 12:00 have identified the suspect VN and his location, who was then arrested and escorted to the station of the police in Ferizaj,

After the interview by the investigating police, in the presence of the defense lawyer, by the decision of the Prosecutor of the case, he was sent to custody for 48 hours, for further investigative procedures, while the case was described as "rape, assault and destruction or damage to property".
