Number 21 will not appear on the ballot because the EPP is registering to take part in the elections, we drew a number in the lottery, but on checking it turned out that it has not registered candidate lists in any electoral district.

One more party has not registered candidate lists in two districts - the "Edinstvo" party.

In two regions of the country, their number will not appear.

This was explained in an interview for bTV by the deputy chairman and spokesperson of the CEC, Rositsa Mateva.

She recalled that today the CEC decided that "Siela Norma" will take over the activities of the machine voting.

This is happening a week earlier than expected.

Mateva pointed out that this time the CEC managed to make decisions before the deadlines stipulated in the Electoral Code.

She assured that people should not worry about possible manipulations of the software.

Voting machines continue to be stored in a private warehouse at the airport.

"They will be stored there until a suitable state-owned premises is found," said the CEC spokesperson. 

CEC: Twice as many applications for voting abroad

Rositsa Mateva called for a campaign within the framework of the law.

She also recalled important deadlines related to the electoral process, which are expiring soon.

The deadline for Bulgarians abroad to submit voting applications expires on September 6.

By 2:30 p.m. today, they were over 32,000. Voters who want to vote at their current address, however, have until September 17 to submit an application to the mayor of the town where they intend to exercise their right to vote.

Citizens with permanent disabilities who want to vote with a mobile ballot box must also submit applications by September 17th.
