The Kosovo Judicial Council (KJC) and the Kosovo Prosecutorial Council (KPK) have reacted to Prime Minister Albin Kurti, who on Friday criticized them for the lack of reaction to the case of the rape of the 11-year-old girl.

In their response, it is stated that "in relation to this issue, we behave as responsible, independent and professional institutions and not as some institutions that, through reactions with public statements, do not resemble state institutions".

Also, KJK and KPK say that they have taken all necessary actions and measures to handle the case in question with professionalism.

"The Judicial Council and the Prosecutorial Council call on the Government to fulfill its constitutional and legal responsibilities for creating the necessary conditions for housing and rehabilitation of crime victims, so that crime victims are not left at the mercy of non-governmental organizations for housing and rehabilitation", says the press release.

The Judicial Council and the Prosecutorial Council have further provided the opinion that they are determined to fulfill their constitutional and legal obligations regarding this case and all other cases without exception.
