The Basic Court in Gjilan has assigned one month of detention to the defendants NS, AS and BS, suspected of the criminal offenses of usury and coercion.

According to the announcement, there is a well-founded suspicion that the defendants, from an unspecified time until 31.08.2022, in complicity, have exploited the inexperience of the victims by forcing the injured to act to the detriment of their property and have brought them in a position to heavy financial.

"So that initially they give the amount of 50,000 Euros to the injured, with usury, and they have continuously pressured the victims to pay usury of 20% per month, reaching the amount of damage of 800,000 Euros, and they have taken your vehicles of the Range Rover, Mercedes and Tiguan type, as well as dated 31.08.2022, were arrested red-handed by the Kosovo Police, drawing up a contract for sale and purchase which was a fictitious contract and it was the real estate that the defendants took from the injured for usury", says the press release.

The judge of the preliminary procedure has assessed that there are legal reasons for assigning the measure of detention to the defendants, because other alternative measures would be insufficient for the successful development of the criminal procedure.

"The parties have the right to appeal against this decision on the appointment of detention in the Court of Appeal", it is further stated.
