According to the information given to APA by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the head of the Department of Construction, Urban Development and Communal Economy of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Feyruz Mustafayev, Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Tapdig Amiraslanov, and the management staff of the relevant structural divisions and institutions of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs recently held a meeting in the forests. fires and their causes were widely discussed.

Speaking at the meeting, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov spoke about the recent forest fires in the country and pointed out that these fires are primarily caused by global warming.

At the same time, the minister noted that in addition to the effect of global warming, the main reason for the occurrence of fires remains the human factor.

Some people's disregard for simple fire safety rules and irresponsible behavior lead to the occurrence of fires in the forests, which are our national treasure, and damage to our forest fund, flora and fauna, which has been formed over decades.

Therefore, for timely prevention of forest fires, it is important for all relevant institutions to act in a coordinated manner.

In the end, Minister Kamaladdin Heydarov stated the importance of continuing the measures taken to prevent fires, and also instructed the heads of the relevant structural units of the Ministry to prepare proposals for making relevant changes in the normative legal acts related to fire safety in forests.
