The Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, Frida Krifca, declared a day ago after the government meeting where the agreement to be signed between the countries of the 'open Balkans' was approved, that this agreement further deepens the cooperation.

Krifca explained that the agreement that is expected to be signed foresees the establishment of a mechanism that guarantees food security, keeping markets open, without interruption and without defining any ceiling, as has happened in the past months, without mentioning any quota.

She said that this is a free trade agreement untouched by the effects of the war in Ukraine which have created a disruption of the food chain in all countries of Europe or the world.

She emphasized that this agreement further deepens the cooperation between the countries of the "Open Balkans" and creates more security for consumers and citizens of the countries of the "Open Balkans".
