Congress (Karnataka) while targeting the BJP government of Karnataka said that Karnataka has become the corruption capital of the country.

As elections are due in the state next year, to divert people's attention from corruption, BJP is bringing communal issues like hijab, halal meat and Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at Hall Idgah land in the state. In an exclusive interview with NDTV, Party's state unit chief DK Shivakumar said, "Karnataka has become the corruption capital of the country. To hide it, BJP is raising the issue of Hijab, Halal, Idgah in the state."

On Wednesday, the Supreme Court set aside a government order allowing Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations at the Idgah ground in Bengaluru, but the High Court allowed the celebrations at the Idgah ground in Hubli.

Hitting out at the BJP government in the state led by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Shivakumar said that two registered organizations have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi raising these issues. It is written. Why did he write? The Prime Minister had said, 'I will neither eat nor let anyone eat'. The association has asked the PM what is happening in Karnataka?"

This is the second time that the contractor union has written a letter to the Prime Minister.

State contractors have repeatedly accused government officials of bribing up to 40 percent of the value of a project to secure contracts.

He said in his letter the contractors have questioned where the state is going, claiming that during the Congress rule, they had to pay only 10 per cent.
