The Turkish military and intelligence have "neutralized" nine members of the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) in operations in northern Iraq, the Turkish Defense Ministry and state Turkish media said on Saturday, BTA reported, citing Reuters.

Turkey regularly conducts airstrikes in neighboring Iraq as part of its offensive against PKK militants stationed there.

"Our operations will continue until the last terrorist is neutralized," the Turkish military ministry tweeted in an announcement of an operation targeting seven PKK members.

In the ministry's announcements, "neutralized" is usually used for killed combatants.
